Requirements

The International Trade Policy Advisor will play a critical role in shaping and influencing trade policies that promote international economic relations. This position involves analyzing trade agreements, advising on policy development, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the organization's global trade strategy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze international trade policies, agreements, and regulations.

  • Provide strategic advice to senior management on trade policy implications and opportunities.

  • Engage with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and international organizations to advocate for favorable trade policies.

  • Monitor global trade trends and developments, providing timely updates and recommendations.

  • Develop policy papers and reports to support the organization’s trade initiatives.

  • Facilitate workshops, presentations, and discussions on trade policy issues.

  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to trade regulations.

  • Support negotiations and discussions related to trade agreements and partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Economics, Political Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international trade policy or related fields.

  • Strong understanding of trade agreements, tariffs, and international trade law.

  • Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement.

  • Proficiency in relevant trade policy software and tools.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
